In response to Mr Kanes false detailed reply 1. The brake discs had a 3 year warranty.....2. failed to mention he scratched my car which had to be repainted and 3. failed to exchange a simple thermostat on my vehicle instead managing to destroy its housing which had to be repaired by another garage........AVOID THIS PLACE !!

Avoid this garage like the plague. Reported to the authorities after fitting faulty brake part and his dismissive arrogant attitude on refusing any responsibility quite unbelievable.. Parts had a 3 year warranty according to the manufacturer !....also he destroyed my car on a simple thermostat change....you have been warned !!

Of course, there are always two sides to every story. The alleged faulty brake parts were reported to us after the warranty had expired. We never saw them. We tend not to respond to rude unreasonable communications, but as always we were polite. The written demand for compensation to the tune of 400% of the brake cost was never going to be considered. We are quite happy that Mr. Brown intends to avoid us like the plague.

Can’t tell you what a relief it was to eventually get our car to Alan after anxiety created by the dealership’s massive quotes! It’s only 2 years old and was still just under guarantee. Alan was really busy but slotted us in as we have no other vehicle and live in the campo. He also arranged the grúa. I chose Kane Automotive after reading reviews on FB and Google. Travelling round Malaga area my ML500 broke its radiator fan, I contacted Alan and he understood immediately what was wrong, contacted Mercedes and had them deliver the new part which was fitted two days later. These guys pulled out all the stops and got us back on the road in super quick time. Can't recommend them enough and they will have all my major Merc work from now on. Well done Alan and team!!

Alan was able to assist us in dealing with issues that were occurring with our recently purchased range rover.
He went out of his way to rescue ,diagnose and fix the problem iam extremely grateful for his help.

Alan looks after my Mercedes Sprinter Van, It has had issues which other mechanics have failed to rectify and Alan has sorted it. If asked Alan is always happy to explain in detail what he has done and why, I like that.
I recommend Kane Automotive.

I have always received courtesy, prompt and efficient service in preparation for the ITV, which I am unable to do for myself as, I am female and barely aware how it all works. Allan deals with the service and and takes the car for the ITV on my behalf. I have had trouble with my BMW for months trying to get it fixed at various garages with no luck. Being told Duff info and being told to replace stuff that didn't need replacing etc. . Then I found Kane Automotive and my faith in mechanics was restored. Alan did a fabulous job on my car, was thorough in his investigation of the cause of the problem, kept me updated throughout the process was helpful and informative and my car is now running better than ever. I am looking for a new mechanic I can trust and because I was one hour looking at the reviews of many in Coin I choose this one as it seems people is happy with them. I rang and talked for a while asking them to double check a diagnostic. If they had accepted to do that I would have given them the job and maybe if happy kept them as my garage. At the end he felt I was messing, the man was rude hunging up on me. Woops sorry! Not the case, not messing at all.. Still you can ring me back and try to get to an understanding. I am Spanish doing a huge effort to make myself understood in another language. I don't deserve that treatment

Good afternoon Alfonso,

I am Alan Kane, the owner of the business. When you called us it was me that you spoke to. To be more accurate, it was me you shouted at for 12 minutes that morning.

It was a Saturday morning and you wanted your car looked at that day. You didn’t have an appointment with us. At that time we were booked solid for 3 weeks.

It was not possible for us to help you. I politely explained that to you. Unfortunately you would not accept that. As I tried to explain it further you simply shouted over me. You continued to shout over me any time I tried to speak. I tried to give you advice, but you would not listen. After about 5 or 6 minutes of you shouting at me I put the phone down beside me, on speaker so I could still hear you while I spoke to another client. You continued to shout for at least 5 more minutes not even knowing that I had put the phone down. Its not that I hung up, I just proceeded with my work and left you talking in the background.

I certainly would not class what I did as being rude however I would regard being subjected to your shouting as being so. I certainly did nothing to deserve being treated that way. I understand that you were very worked up about your car problem and unhappy with the other Garage, but that is no reason to act like you did during the phone call in question.

I regret that we were unable to help you due to time constraints. As you said yourself, we have a great reputation and that keeps us very busy.

I don’t think that you heard any of the advice I offered you. If you had stopped talking for even 1 minute I could have helped you a little. We are always happy to advise anybody, client or not.

We have many Spanish clients. You being Spanish had no bearing on the conversation. There was no difficulty with understanding. The only difficulty was that you would not stop talking.

I think that your review is very unfair. If you would like to discuss it further I would be happy to take another call from you, but of course only on condition that you both listen as well as speak. I sincerely hope that at this stage you have found a Garage that you can work with in a satisfactory manner.
